We like to swing!

We like to swing!

An impromptu visit to the Molalla Library and park on Friday had me using my wimpy cell phone camera again. While it doesn’t take the best photos in the world, I’m so thankful we’ve got gadgets like this that allow us to easily document things.  Rachael has finally decided that she LOVES to swing, which is something she’s hated ever since she was old enough to really play at a park! I, of course, whipped out the phone and took photos to document the moment which will hopefully continue to pop up. She had such a good time. Thank goodness for phones! Which leads me to…

On Friday, I saw a link to a blog that belonged to a woman whose sister is a friend on Facebook. I won’t go into how exactly we know/knew each other but it was all based off of my old ward at Church when I was younger and living with my Dad. I was curious to see (plus a TOMS giveaway!) what her blog was all about. I visited and perused through some of the posts and found that she was doing an “I’m Thankful…” week last week. I thought it was a great idea and so I’m adopting her idea and using it for this week as we head into Thanksgiving. 🙂 I think we need to be more openly thankful and grateful for all that we’ve been blessed with and too often we overlook the blessings and joy in our lives, inadvertently taking them for granted. Thanks Jenn, for reminding me of why I’m so blessed.  Your blog was so fun, keep up the good work! 🙂 Visit Jenn’s blog and take a look around: click here!

So for today, I’m thankful for many things. My husband, my children, my family, the roof over our heads, the hard work the men in our families did to make sure we  had enough wood to last and keep us warm through the winter, our faith and perseverance through the trials we’ve pushed through and those that are yet to come. I’m thankful for my religion, our Heavenly Father, the scriptures –  is it just me or it hard to stop after you’ve started? There are so many things to be grateful for. I am very blessed. 🙂 Enjoy the rest of the photos, and things I’m thankful for: Click here! Don’t forget to hover your mouse over the picture to find hidden messages. 🙂
